About Us
After surviving the Holocaust, Regal Originals founder Jack Krinick, arrived in New York from Poland. The Garment Center offered Jack countless opportunities and allowed him to strive towards the American Dream. For years Jack worked in factories, acquiring knowledge and saving funds in hopes to one day start his own business. With just a small investment and support from his wife, his vision materialized and in 1950 Jack opened Regal Originals. In no time at all, Regal Original became the leading trimming factory in the Garment Center, and was sought after by America’s top designers.
Sixty years later Jack’s son in law Rodger Cohen, and granddaughter, Dalia Sabari, now run this same unionized factory. Rodger and Dalia’s dedication to maintaining Regal’s success is evident in their pristine work and customer loyalty. As founding members of Save the Garment Center and other local campaigns, Rodger and Dalia are committed to protecting an area that gave their family the opportunity to succeed.
